Alora has been a dedicated volunteer at TWC throughout her time at Tantramar Regional High School. She has a passion for nature, but especially loves macroinvertebrates which is why our 'Critter Dipping' floating dock is where she really excelled. This year Alora worked for us as a co-op student and then a paid employee helping us run our current programs and develop new ones. The Tantramar Wetlands centre and its Co-op students collaborated with EOS eco energy to create a opportunity to give back to loved ones at the low cost of decluttering. we took donations from October to December. For each item donors would receive one ticket (for every garbage bag full, 5 tickets) and with said tickets they could go in and exchange one ticket for any item, no mater the size. from the 8th to the 12th students at TRHS could come down and use their tickets at

This Tuesday, we were lucky to have Sparks and Embers visit us for an evening field trip! We went outside and explored the Food Forest in search of leaves to paint and stamp onto paper, as well as anything they thought might make a good paintbrush, then headed inside to test it all out. We were so glad to have them here at the wetlands!
