Holiday Thrift Exchange
The Tantramar Wetlands centre and its Co-op students collaborated with EOS eco energy to create a opportunity to give back to loved ones at the low cost of decluttering. we took donations from October to December. For each item donors would receive one ticket (for every garbage bag full, 5 tickets) and with said tickets they could go in and exchange one ticket for any item, no mater the size. from the 8th to the 12th students at TRHS could come down and use their tickets at

TWC's visit with Girl Guides!
This Tuesday, we were lucky to have Sparks and Embers visit us for an evening field trip! We went outside and explored the Food Forest in search of leaves to paint and stamp onto paper, as well as anything they thought might make a good paintbrush, then headed inside to test it all out. We were so glad to have them here at the wetlands!

TWC's Fall Activities!
This fall, one of the indoor activities we've been doing are pressed flower and leaf bookmarks, with plant material foraged from the wetlands! The flowers in the bookmarks pictured below are New York asters; asters are a keystone species for pollinators because they're one of the latest-blooming flowers of the year.
